watercooled engine head question

quick question, how does water flow in and out of a watercooled cylinder head? was thinking of using a car air emissions pump as a supercharger and then sticking it an old fibreglass rc boat. is it possible to adapt a watercooled head onto an aircooled or does the water flow in from the bottom of the crankcase up or some such?

thanks

well i just looked at mine, and the coolant goes from the bottle, through the radiator, down the bottom and into the bottom of the motor, then it goes out through a nipple in the head back into the radiator.

i pulled the head off not long ago and inside its a cylinder inside another cylinder. the outside cylinder holds the coolant and the inside cylinder has the piston.

im not sure if this helps but whatever

its just like an ac head with the coooling fins milled off and a water jacket arround it but they are better and are a once piece unit (cyl and water jacket all in one) hope that helps iam prity sure u can bolt a wc head on to an ac motor as long as there same brank like polini ac with a wc head that sort of thing then all you would need is the radiator and pump i think the only real dif in the cases is that one has the pump mounted and the other has none so you would have to mount the pump to the motor some how.
and about the fiberglass rc boat is it notro or has it got a petrol motor in it?

it was handmade by a made ages ago and will accept a zenoah so should be right. as for the pump i wont worry about that. the plan was to get a cag motor and stick the WC head onto it then just have water plumb in from the bottom, up to the top of the head then straight out again.
