polini engine

howdy - looking to sell the polini engine out of my banshee

problems and parts youll need

- keeps eating piston rings over the exhaust port. youll need a new piston and chamfer the top and bottom of the exhaust port then youll be fine.
- as a result theres some discolouration of the barrell there but its not damaged the nikasil
- new o rings for the top end but ill send all the ones i have
- the previous owner stripped out a whole in the crankcase for the barrell stud. i have made a custom stud that has an 8mm base on it that works great - not a problem just so you know.
- top end mount was broken by previous owner and they welded it together. grisly looking but it works

parts in the motor

- 316b/4 50cc 5 port barrell (the most powerful one polini do and it was ported very nicely by a previous owner)
- series 2 polini crankcases with the two holes for the bzm 3 iron coil (which im told is a bit rare) that ive ported myself.
- GRC bearings and seals
- Polini blue race crank
- polini flywheel
- BZM 3 iron coil modified to suit
- Zocchi 3 shoe flywheel with about 3mm pad left. it has weights in the clutch shoes too.
- pullstarter modified for the bzm coil.
- polini reed block modified with blue reeds
- polini manifold
- all the spare o rings gaskets and parts for the motor i still have

***does not come with pump exhaust or clutch + bell and housing nor carb***

when i had it working it was an absolute rocket ship. this was kreepas old motor and he came 2nd in the elite class his very first time out in it. so when you get it going again its definitely got the power

but i have two bikes now and no moneys so im transplanting my spare bzm from the dreambike into the banshee and parting out the rest of the dreambike thus no need for this one now and no money to get the new piston..

offer by PM if your interested pleaase.

I've cleaned this thread up. Keep it on topic please. If anyone wishes to say anything off topic relating to this engine please PM Glen.
