Parts required SQ BLATA

Hey all,

Im new and I have an incomplete BLATA SQ (its got a stamp SQ in the top bar?) and need a few parts to get it going.

Its missing a fuel tank and lower hose from the engine to radiator, also the air filter is missing, I was given the bike about a year ago from a guy who didnt want it anymore and was going to chuck it out.
He told me its not been ridden in a while but he got it started and then it didnt however it still shows signs of promise like a good spark but havent been able to start it so i want to get the missing parts and get going on it.

if you guys have parts lying around that could get me going and want to sell them then please msg me.

I am ready to deal

BTW Im in the blue mountains west of sydney

If it hasn't been ridden in a while it might be advisable to check the o ring on the waterpump too
When i got my bike second hand it had a seized water pump and belt.

Hey,

your right the waterpump wasnt turning when I cranked it after I fitted a new head and piston so I hit the kill switch.

I then used a pair of pliers in the holes to manually turn the water pump wheel and when I was turning the wheel it felt like something solid was stopping the pump from turning, with a little force i got it to turn but now water is leaking from behind the water pump wheel.

have I stuffed it? is it an easy fix

any help would be appreciated

you have to split cases to fix bearings have rusted, its possable the seal is in backwards or abuild up of corostion behind water pump shaft when you refit new bearings pack the area between bearings with rubber grease and the spring side of the seal faces in and use destilled water only

the water pump impeller problem is caused by lack of spacers & shims in the Chinese impeller kit
i have made my own spacers so the impeller fist snug without any play with a spacer between the bearings & as MC said pack that cavity with grease

you can also order the genuine blata impeller shim (washer) spacer kit from OZMinimoto & fix it with genuine parts
i spoke with dazza about this a couple of weeks ago & the spacers & seal, bearings are not expensive to go genuine

there is a link to the genuine blata origami manual on the forum showing a exploded view of these parts here is the link Origami B1 Service Manual
