Nah i'm in Newcastle, NSW my bike goes alright but I've had some niggling problem which I think I might have gotten on top of now. Fingers crossed but I'm out of action right now after having surgery on my left hand. Doctor says if I don't start swapping hands it'll fall off.

The reason I asked is we have a few blokes where that like the R1 style 4 stroke bikes but we don't know where to get them.

This has been discussed on this forum many times in the past. If you need to insulate your tank or seat line the bottom of the tank or seat, don't wrap the pipe.
How many competition two stroke bikes do you see with heat wrapped exhausts, none. Two stroke pipes are tuned for harmonics. Meaning, the pipe works due to velocity created by sound waves that in turn help with the combustion process. The pipe is shaped so the sound actually bouces back and forwards before it goes out.

Check this site out it gives a good explanation of what I'm trying to say.

And this ones for the more technically minded but has a good explanation of two stroke combustion theory.

Nah........I've had the same problems with my B1 getting hot under the seat and melting fairings near the header. There is no need to wrap the pipe. Line the underside of your seat and tank with heat reflective material. You can use exhaust wrap for this as well, just put strips under the seat and secure using Araldite or similar glue.
You might say.."hey but it's only a pocket bike and the small amount of heat wrap will mean FA in the whole scheme of things" well you could be right. BUT if you want the bike to perform to the best of it's ability and do things the right way, my suggestion is to not wrap the pipe at all.
Also, excess heat can mean something as well, you are over-riding the session times on the bike. An aircooled or watercooled motor will not like running for hours on end. Limit session times to say 10-15min then let the bike cool down, it will thank you for it. That way your bike will last and your rear end will not melt, a win win situation.

hey guys...
in saying all that.. i have been running my exhaust (fatboy) with heat wrap on it for about 1yr... i have had no problems with cooling or overheating.. and its definatly kept my seat and nuts from burning...
but now im getting a 2 peice head kit...
and been told the engine may overheat if i keep the heat wrap on...its a fatboy pipe and the expansion chamber is only wrapped... i cant really see it making any difference... what you guys think ?

Thats because the a/c's running temp is much brooder. I had heat wrap on my SQ, after 2 laps of Archerfeild it would bog down. Its because the heat wrap keeps the pipe hot. You want the pipe to cool the air down so it can decrease its mass sucking more air out.but you need some back pressure so it doesn't suck the fuel and air mixture out with it.Correct me if I'm wrong
