boost system

now before anyone says "it cant be done" or "it'll f*ck ur motor", let me get one thing straight, i am not talking about a turbo nor dry nitrous system nor boost bottle.

what do people think about having a system where a bottle of methane, propane, ethanol/methanol is hooked up via the air filter and is varied in quantity by a throttle cable (in my case, a remote choke cable).

have a look at the diagram below for more info.

i was thinking you could have a bottle of any of the gasses above, with a valve on the bottle so that it can be turned on and off before and after use, then get a throttle like thing (like a water tap sort of thing) and connect it to the cable that goes back to the handlebars, so you can vary the amount being released into ur engine.

let me know what you all think of it.

cheers

As Im only 11... I dont really understand it .. I understand some.. Wait Wait.. I understand.. Good idea.. Have something like a trap kinda thing so its nuetral position will be down. When you pull the handle or whatever, it will open the trap door thingo and realease the gas. So it will save the time of going down to open the nozzle. I might add that these bottles..Aren't they explosive as if the thing catches fire or so.. BOOM. Your flying out of you pocket bike seat..

Just the thoughts of a 11 year old

i dont really know what you mean by a trap... and with the explosive thing, no, that wont happen. i had considered that, but if you put the nozzle into the air filter instead of the intake manifold, there is VERY little chance of detonation, especially when you compare it with a contraption like 'dabombs exhaust flamethrower' lol

A gasoline motor run on propane will slightly decrease performance. Now run a diesel with propane and now your talking!

switching to diesel isnt just like changing unleaded fuels, diesel works with a different system so it wouldnt be possible in my little mini bike engine.

i've been leaning towards methane or butane this whole time as they seem like the better ones to use...
