New fuel filter

Hi all,
I was just wondering about getting a high performance fuel filter off carter and I am unsure that it will fit. At the moment I have fairly small sized fuel lines and the fuel filter is a cheap fitting with a sponge inside which sits in the end of the line in the fuel tank. My friend has installed the h/p filter but he originally had the same kind of filter just stock. The problem is
1) It looks like my lines are too small to fit onto the ends of the new filter

2) Where my lines go into the fuel tank is on the back of the tank half way up (as opposed to my friends which is at the bottom)

Can anyone tell me if its possible to fit a new filter and if not what mods i have to do to make it fit

hey mate, i bought a fuel filter and fuel line from pocket racer in qld and the fuel line was smaller than stock but i put fuel on the tips and managed to get it on the tank and carbie and it has softened up now and it is much easier to put on now.
