B1 coil

does anyone know of a euro coil that fits straight onto a B1 rep. I don't want to start changing fly wheels etc...Anyone done this and is it worth doing?

Thats a good question. I was wondering the same. I know that the series 3 coil does not work with a SQ rep flywheel, as the timing of the magneto and the coil are different and if ya try and use the 2 together the bike will just cough and never start. you would have to change the flywheel aswell to get the motor to start.
I know there is a bizeta, zocchi coil and a genuine Blata coil but you would probably be better off asking someone from oz mini moto to see if they will work with you model blata replica without the expensive change of a euro flywheel also.

Send a message via MSN to mac90
i think this was alan kims problem when he rebuilt his engine with a new set of X carter cases i sent him

so it may not be just a the coil & flywheel combo is critical to match them same model series cases or your in the same jam even with blata replica cases

If you go genuine then you have to go genuine flywheel. I heard that the BZM "ducati grey" coil fits and works with stock flywheel, A theory I will test when mine arrives in the mail. There's nothing wrong with my B1, just trying to squeeze a bit more out of the top end.

I meant genuine blata coil needs genuine flywheel. I'm hoping ducati grey works with b1 rep flywheel. I will post my results.

Dazza is an unknown quantity at this point
Chinese coil will fit Chinese flywheel.
Blata, BZM and Zocchi coil need a genuine Blata flywheel.
The two flywheels are different by 2mm with the placement of the magnets.
