Clutch sound....riiiiiight. Try to be a little more specific. Is the noise only there when the clutch is engaged or while it's idling etc.

or even worse the main botom case bearing, a ball poped out and pinging around?

clutch worn out or metal to metal if its been run like this it will be squealing
could be up for a new clutch & clutch drum (bell) & how much is he asking ?
