Boost bottles dont inject ANY nitrous, they simply store up an air fuel mixture charge when the throttle is closed so that when the throttle is opened again it goes straight into engine to give an extra boost to help acceleration.
Its similar to the fuel pumps on car carbys that inject raw fuel to get you accelerating when you jam the throttle open.
It was a consept first used on the old 250cc 2 stroke engines that suffered low down when accelerating after slowing down, the boost bottles gave them a cure for the slow response when reaccelerating.
