a lil tip is to match the pipe header to the exhaust port here are a couple of pics to show you how much some pipe headers can be opened up to help unrestrict flow & make even a stock pipe work better
almost all chinese pipes need a good cleanup or port matching
you can see how much this header pipe is restricting port flow 
after a good cleanup just make sure you use a gasket to match the new header &
a little avation form a gasket or high temp silicone is needed to make sure you get minimum leaks
