Is that a helmet cam? Or is it really a giant laser?

damn i thought i got away with it yeah its an oregon scientific action cam, we got some demos at work so i bought one cheap.

fits beautifully on the handlebars and doesnt get in the way or anything but mounting it down on the forks is a good idea too. i just thought youd get some better video that way

very nice

Your bike is almost identical to mine in everyway but body colour. I found the bizeta kit a little disappointing compared to the polini 50cc 5-port in its level of completeness and fitting. But the performance speaks for itself.

BZM power is tractable and linear from down low whereas the polini is more peaky and a bit harder to ride. Without porting to either, the polini revs harder than the bizeta but is more of an expert's bike when trying to keep it up in the revs in slow corners. The lack of a little end bearing was unbelievable when you pay nearly $500 for a kit.

Good job on the bike, you will have a ball on it as they are a great handling chassis. Front brakes are a pain to keep adjusted. I wouldn't go much bigger than 19mm on the carb or throttle response will be heavily compromised. 21 would be the absolute biggest on a very long, fast, flowing circuit. Do yourself a favour and get the BZM self cooling ergal clutch. You will need to turn the housing down about 0.5mm to fit the cases but it is well worth the $200 and 1/2 hour on the lathe. The standard clutch bells and housings on my two dream bikes cooked with both the bizeta and polini top ends because they could not dump heat quick enough and were not the straightest/truest items.

hey greeny didnt see this reply for some reason :S

but cheers for the comments and insight. the self ventilated bell is on the list as well after the flywheel and coil.

tried to take the bike to indy on thursday to thrash it but got rained out so plans are off till next month. gives me time to get my leathers though! riding in overalls on this is too scary..

but having a play around with it up the park was fun. i chased a guy on a CR80 dirt bike any wasnt far off at all. brakes are great.. when i get the genuine pads ill be cheering.

footpegs are a nightmare. and this is some advice to anyone who has these pegs. the threads in them are just plastic and strip out straight away + fall off. what you need to do is heat up a nut to cherry red - push it into the footpeg and bolt it on with loctite - then screw in a pair of self tappers for security.

also cant seem to work out where the random drops of coolant where from - so i removed the entire radiator setup - replaced the stuffed overflow bottle cap with a new one, tightened up the hose on the overflow bottle that was nearly off and ill see tommorow if this fixes it ... hoping to god it does.

few weeks later and all is well

i swapped out the PHVA rep carb for the genuine dellorto and its running a bit more smoothly now. peaks out somewhat harder too. only gripe is the choke is now impossible to get too, but i dont use that anyway :P

and heres a pic of the frame brace as well - made from aluminium rod. hopefully will stop things snapping randomly.

Thumbs up

Nice one Glen,i like that support.Just watch out for your head stem,i have seen a few crack there, depends which model you have .I noticed there were two types of dreambikes, one with the water bottle under the tank and the other in between your handle bars. This model was apparently stronger than the other!!
