Yeh but how cool would a belt drive look as opposed to a chain?

lol oh i think it shall, the whole motor will basically take up the entire engine bay section and the controller will mount where the tank once was.

as for the motor oh ill be keeping the gp3 rep as is, the etek one will have a real gp3 frame

i just want to keep the gasser so i can have a bit of a race if that one gets banned hehe, just joking

the motor 11kg while the safety solenoid and sevcon controller take it all up to about 20kg with batteries, so probably adding another 10kg on top of a stock bike, hopefully the big torque boost should keep it fairly zippy.

Will the frame be able to cope with the weight of the motor+rider ??

should be okay with added bracing. when i get the frame ill have a look at things but will probably take the spring from an old mountain bike and make a soft tail for it.

will keep an eye out for some good quality wheels though. i think thats where the problem may be if any

Cant wait to see it though ... sounds like a smaller version of livewire (Project LiVeWiRe) <- googled

i was wondering if you could set up a small belt driven alternator similer to a external waterpump on the 2 strokes

then your at least throwing some charge back to the batterys ???

as for Project LiVeWiRe you would need 2 or 3 strong blokes to lift that sucker
