Everyone from WA please help PBAWA

It has recently been confirmed that pocket bikes are no longer welcome at Murdoch University. So at this current moment, we have no where to race legally.

Currently PBAWA has inquired about a number of areas/venues and are waiting the outcome of this.

So I'm calling on all the WA racers to keep a lookout for places to race.

It could be anything from shopping centre carparks to large areas or tarmac (like truck parking or things like that) which will be vacant on Sundays.

So any areas you think might be ok to use, contact the shopping centre management or the owner of the premises or alternatively, give me a pm and I'll either give you the number for Mick from Movement Systems or I'll ring him and let him know.

You will probably find you will only be able to use private property & sadly without liability insurance the land owner & PBAWA will be held liable for damage, death or injury

Without a approved track e.g...aka track or safe venue to use you will find it hard getting any form of insurance

Unless each rider/member has private insurance & the club has a minimum liability policy you will find it hard to get a place to ride or race

Its catch 22 & for small clubs almost financially impossible without business or some other form of sponsorship for the club

unfortunately, we dont have any tracks that are available to us. So we try and make do with what we got. We were legally allowed to use a university carpark and we had insurance for it. So would a normal carpark be the same?

you may be best to approach your local council about suitable places

industrial areas, people in the private sector involved in sports etc.
similer to the arrangement you had with the uni, but industrial zoned areas or non residentual areas are better suited areas where acess is limited to the public (private land) then complaints will be rare

speedway or motorcross clubs may have a suitable carpark or tarmac area??

write letters make phonecalls drive around when you have time. im sure you guys will find somewhere to ride

hey guys as said above dont even bother with anything that is gov. owned that was the prob we had with speeddome. but private enterprise is where we have to look. any warehouses or industrial areas where the employees park but not on sundays. you can pm me too as i have our HANDBOOK, CONSTITUTION, WAIVER FORM and INSURANCE DOCS all attached to one email ready for sending. good hunting guys we WILL be riding again soon.

Mac's idea of the speedway/motorcross carpark is a good one. The track we have in Brisbane is made up of tire walls on the Speedway carpark. During the speedway season we have to pack it all up during the off season it's great because we can just leave it all set up for the next week.

What about were we were before, at the old midland cinema? Its a bit tight but its a whole lot better than nothing.

Well here is a carpark im gonna try and get.

Hopefully the motorplex will be kind enough to allow us to race there.







Ill try and get into contact with the management about it. I know a few of the managers of the speedway side so hopefully they could put in a good word for me.
