You obviously havent been in a quick 4cyl turbo then mate,i wouldnt go writting them off yet
Ive been many v8's and 4cyl cars,i still prefer the boosted 4cyl over a v8,mmmmmmm booooooooooost
A mate of mine owned a 97m nissan 180 sx which was pulling 375rwhp on low boost and 422rwhp on high, not bad for a 2L 4 cyl eh eh..

a holden v8 pulled 1525hp on pump fuel. even with a 6L, thats more power per litre than a pissy little four.
its not like you can't boost a v8 anyway, and even witha v8 you get the turbo boost felling all the time.
but hy i don't blame you, the fast and the furious tricked a whole generation into thinking electric pencil sharpeners as motors in glorified granny cars made them a racer.
i bet that jap shit has a milo tin on the back too. BAAAAAAHHHHmmmmmmmBAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHH
"what the fuck was that man did we just get passed by a weedwhacker at 75mph?"

ill settle for my old 72 HQ with the 350 small block with a old late 60s 2 speed box gives most street legal 4 banger turbos more than they bargined for

after all back in the early 70s it was putting 289hp bog stock standard
but with a few aftermarket bits a .040 over size set of federal mogul slugs & a edelbrock RPM intake a couple of other goodies its putting out well over that

the 4 bangers are ok if ya want econemy but they are disposable
& im yet to see one that can take the old Q in a drag
after all i can pull around 80 mph in first i wack of the b&m shift in second & ya dont see much of the 4 bangers they are 2 busy farting out their BOV & rattleing the drivers teeth out

only thing that had came close was a WRX turbo but when ya look at the costs of a WRX compared to my $5000 HQ im happy with the end result
im sure any engine could be a weapon but depends how much $$ ya want to throw into it

in my book there is nothing like the rumble of a 8 iron & ton & a half of classic aussie muscle
