Angry I'm out.....

Well i've had my CAG which i bought off ebay for just over a year now and through the help of all you guys on this forum i have built it into quite a little weapon. I must say that it has been fun and i have learnt a bucket load about 2 strokes and small engines but sadly i'm going to get out of the pocket bike scene.

Although my bike is qiuck, it is extremely unreliable. It seems like i spend more time repairing it than actually getting enjoyment out of riding it. I was going to go to the practice day at South Morang tomorrow but it looks like a piston has let go while doing some testing. So instead of wasting valuable time and money on a piece of crap CAG i'm going to spend more time with my kids and fiance.

Once the engine is back together i'm going to put the thing on e-bay and try an re-cuperate some of the large amounts of money i've spent. I'll probably pop in here from time to time and say hello and will pop a link to the ebay add on here if i can?

Anyway boys, it's been fun. See ya round and keep on the track!

now built my own custom bike and the watercooled. was riding the w/c everyweekend for a while there and couldnt be happier

but time with the old ladys always a good thing. need to spend more time with mine. ugh.. LOL

stay around on the forum anyway mate, always good to have some knowledge at hand

Cheers Mark. Yeah i modified the springs and they work great. Its not something that i cant fix its just that i'm sick of having to repiar something after every time i ride it. Something has let go in the barrell as its locking up at TDC and smashed the plug. I'll pull the top end off tomorrow and have a look. Hopefully the bore is ok and i can chuck a new piston etc in there to get it going to sell.

If i had the money and was really serious about getting into the sport i'd buy a watercooled Blata, but i only really got into it because a bought a really cheap bike off ebay and thought it would be fun to race. I'm thinking i might save my pennys and buy a 250cc trail bike (DEFFINATELY not chinese) and go bush with that on weekends with some mates. Just something that i can jump on and ride and not have to rebuild the damn thing every time i ride it. I'll hang around the forum for a while tho and hopefully help some people out.

*Note to self*

Don't buy Hudson's bike .......

How old are your kids ??? Get them into it, then you can spend your whole life at the track, like me...

And how much are you talking about when you say you've spent too much on it ???

What you need to do is buy that 'ULTRA' cheap Blata from Dazza ....

Don't give up!!!! persist and enjoy ....

The kids are way too young yet to get into it. I've got a spare CAG motor at work i'm thinking of building some sort of Billy cart for the kids when they are old enough.

The damn CAG owes me over $650, which is way too much for a CAG...

And it's temting to buy Dazza's elite but to be honest i'd rather buy a trail bike with plenty of grunt and get dirty.

Ok so i pulled the engine down completely this morning and the skirt on the window side of the piston has let go and gone through the top end....
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...s/IMG_0040.jpg

I've had this noise in the engine for weeks that i though was very aggressive pinging so it looks like this may be the cause. I'm going to let it sit for a couple of weeks until i decide whether to get rid of it or not. I'm now kind of thinking of getting new crank cases (as they are buggered) and maybe a new RD head kit when Dazza gets them in a week or 2 as the bore is pretty average. I was speaking to Dazza about these kits the other day and they will be quite reasonably priced.

So i've got some decisions to make but in the meantime does anyone have any CAG crankcases they wish to sell me. Prefferably new or good s/hand? PM me.
