places to ride

hi everone....we have a problem....After making a small track in the back of our 3 acres,we are now BANNED from riding any motorized bikes becauce of a shithead neighbour..Gawler counsil have also theatened to dimantle any track if we go to the media about this issue.....If we can't ride on the road,park or counsil land....OR OUR OWN BACKYARD....where the hell can we ride our bikes..any ideas..we are wondering if we should take this further,but lawers cost a fortune...any thoughts...

ok ok, things to do sonny!

- build a big fence
- sit on that fence and complain to the neighbour that he/she takes too long in the shower
- sleep with all the counsil members daughters
- then screw em on the road, the park and "counsil land" ...ya back yard ha ha!
- 'as for media' film it all, dvd it and send it to your neighbour to watch while he/she takes too long in the shower.
- i could be a cheap lawer for you

...just head on out to ya closest race track tell these guys where your located and im sure someone will point you out in the right place to go!

if you guys own the property you have every right to ride anything u want in it. the council cannot make you stop riding on your property. ask them wat law u r breaking. i bet they dont have an answer.
if you dont get along with your neighbours i would get the loudest car i could find and park as close to their fence and house as possible and start it at 1am and run it for 5 mins, then 2am, then 3am and so on. there are no laws stating you cannot start a car at anytime you like. also skip bin night for a few weeks and leave your bin as close to their house also.
i have plenty more ways to get to ur neighbours if your interested.

I think what has been said so far is right. Number 1 thing to remember is make sure whatever your riding is as quiet as possible. The one law you could be breaking that they can ping you for is disturbing the peace if the bikes are too loud. Apart from that I can't see the problem.

If you are at Gawler you could try Pooraka Raceway at Reasearch Rd Pooraka $25 buck for all day and its a new big track

Good to hear that you aren't riding your bikes on the road.This has been a major problem here in SA in certain areas.It really sucks to hear that your neighbor don't appreciate you trying to do the right thing! I dare say that it is a noise issue for them.
One solution I have for you is to try putting on a different exhaust muffler on...you can get these bikes to run quietly ,down as low as 92db.Then I would approach your local council and find out what noise limit (Be it engine noise or other) is acceptable.

as rover said you could try to pack the baffle (stinger) with packing wool or fiberglass matting
or upgrade the pipe, i found the jet pro reppipes are quieter because of the thicker steel used & better quality stinger plus you get a performance upgrade
they are a very good upgrade for a stock standard cag & will give you great low to mid range power

im sure if you look into it you can do what you like on private property within set hours, the same as the laws governing building machinery & lawnmowers so i would seek publicity & legal advice & stick it to the council
ask would they prefer you to risk your life & ride on the streets??

I think your offer to ride at pooraka would be your best option... cause I think your noise restrictions are gonna be a bit of a problem at home.......

Seeing as pocket bikes produce around 92db it doesn't look like you can even ride on your own property.
