Glen,
How was the test performed?
With The Pits, it goes up to 40' away from the ride line.
I wouldn't worry too much on the stock WRS.

Hi Dazza
I have heard that there may be standard R1 racing at the title in some form
is this fact or fiction.
The only reason I ask is because it was apparently from Gavin at Pooraka.

The test was directly next to the race track...

He measured individual bikes going past him, then performed test's with bikes riding in groups...

The thing that suprised me was that, bikes ridden in packs actually become quieter, wether they are A/C or W/C ....

I still need to dull mine down considerably or I wont be able to run mine at Lakeside... So i'll be repacking the muffler for sure... But I'm not sure about the expansion chamber, as i've heard that it is in the chamber where most of the noise comes from... I guess all I can do is try a couple of layers of heat tape...

Any other ideas peoples ???

Send a message via MSN to barnsey
doesn't most of the noise come from where the carbie is, the induction area or what ever its called

CLARIFICATION TO RULE 1.18
Class 1 Basic Cag

Please be aware in section 1.18 it reads as follows:

1.18 Machining: No porting, Machining (including polishing) of Barrel/head, Crankcase, Crankshaft, Con-rod, Piston or flywheel is permitted.

The organizers of The Australian Titles have been made aware of the following issue:
Some Chinese made cag bikes may have machined transfer ports within the stock engine out of the factory.
Upon investigating this possible factory modification it has been decided by all three tracks / clubs that:

All engine barrels must remain as cast, no machining of ports allowed, regardless of factory machined or not.

Thankyou

Thumbs up

Well, our accomadation is booked at the same place as you are staying at Rover.
I have also been told Little Man racing from QLD is also staying there aswell.
All up we have 14 coming over from Victoria to round 2 in South Australia.
Can't wait to be there!

Great to hear that we have a few people staying at the same place as some of the SA riders. You all will enjoy the sea views.Look forward to catching up with you all again. Will Dylan and his little brother be coming down as Brandon is looking forward to catching us with them too.
