An under 10's has been confirmed for all 3 rounds for classes 1 and 2.
The under 10's will run separate to the juniors.
This is to help promote juniors throughout Minimoto.

Under 10's can also run in the juniors class, it will be up to the track and if the under 10 wants to run with the above 10 yrs old.
So don't worry.

Some isuses have been raised with the first round of the Australian Titles.
These following isuses will be addressed before the next round:-
Jump start by ride/rides:- Possible stop / start penalty. Rider will be shown a black flag.
Strict scrutineering:- Read the rules and follow them, no more riders will get away with bending these rules. You will only need to bring any visual violation of a bike to the attention of the Clerk of coarse for this to be addressed. Internal violations of the bike will need to follow the formal protest rules.
Full or half fairing rules to be reviewed.
Rider causeing a red flag, may need to get the all clear by the medical staff before being able to re join a race. This rider may miss his/her race.
Rider racing violation, i.e Targeting another rider, will be looked at.

Round 1 has come and gone and we will learn from this and improve.

We should not look at what little may have gone wrong, but at the 120 odd riders who enjoy a great, almost perfectly organised weekend.

A VERY big thankyou goes out to Barry, Sandra, Peter, Bob, and all helpers from ProDirt who done a great job all weekend.

Roll on SA round two.

g'day Darren

highlighted some of my concerns for the weekend

here are a couple more;

Clerk of course i think needs to be independent (not own/run a team)

Clarification on bike swaps on warm up lap, we were told this was ok if the race hadnt started , we seen it happen in front of where we were located by one team but when another team tried to do the same it wasnt allowed???

anyway.....

it was nice to finally meet you

trying my best to get to SA to make up for my poor performance on the weekend lol

Alterartions to the rules for The Australian Minimoto Titles.
The new updated booklet can now be downloaded at:
http://www.ozminimoto.com.au/upimage...ooklet2008.pdf

Amendments that are now in place:-

JUMP START: If a rider jump starts a race, the Clerk of Coarse will issue that rider with a five (5) positions reversal from their finishing position. i.e Final finishing position in that race was position three (3) then that rider will be given position eight (8) due to the jump start.

RIDER CAUSING A RED FLAG: If a rider appears to be injured and causes a red flag, then that rider will be required to be asset by the medical supervisor before being able to continue to participate in the event. Only once cleared by the medical supervisor can the rider causing a red flag continue to participate in the event.
In the event a red flag is displayed due to an obstruction on the track, the rider causing this red flag will restart the race from the rear of the field.

BIKES & RIDERS: No bike can be changed once that bike has entered the race track previous to the start of a race. No bike can be changed once the race has begun.
Any rider not ready when called to the starting grid on time will not be allowed to start that race.

RIDER ETIQUET: A rider must not purposely lift the front wheel, skid or generally show boat during racing. They will be black flagged. No rider is to delibertly cut off another rider. During all racing a rider is to respect their fellow riders and attempt not to place their own or fellow riders safety at further risk. A protest can be lodged by any rider who feels they have been miss treated by another rider during a race if they have sufficent evidence.

BODY: Bike must have a seat fairing. Body fairing is optional, but no sharp or protruding parts of the bike are allowed.
