Guys, this is not what The Pits intended to happen by announcing we will have practices on Saturday night. The dates we have scheduled unfortunately can't be changed and still have my family involved in this sport because I'm not going back to the Family Court to change the weekends I've got my kids.
For now practices will continue alternate Tuesday nights and alternate Saturday nights on the dates as listed below:
Tuesdays: 6pm til 9pm
5th June
19th June
3rd July
17th July
31st July
14th August
28th August
Saturdays: 5pm til 9pm
2nd June
16th June
30th June
14th July
28th July
11th August
25th August
These dates are subject to sufficient patronage. If you support us we will be there for you.
In the next 2 weeks we will have an independent engineer come in and inspect the circuit at The Pits and make recommendations which will be followed in order to allow Racing to happen.
It is our aim to have a number of Club Level race meets at The Pits during the next 3 months as a lead up to a sanctioned South Australian State Title Meeting on the last weekend in November (24th/25th) 2007. Approaches have been made to local caravan parks and hotels/motels regarding accomodation for the November weekend and discounts have been arranged at some venues.
The Pits will promote and arrange sponsorship/discount packages/etc and provide a Professional Venue for the Event, however it must be a United Event run by a Club
This is YOUR sport Guys, can we please all work together to make it grow.
Hi Gerald.
Your position in regards to family is of course understandable.none of us would expect you to compromise time with your children for us.We will be there Saturday and so will many other riders judging by the show of hands last Sunday. The only dampener in regards to numbers will be the weather.Your willingness to comtemplate Pocket Bike racing at your fantastic venue and even take steps to change the tracks structure to facilitate this shows tremendous forward thinking and a positive attitude.
Ps .It must be all that salt air that helps with clear thinking !!!
Cheers Brian
