At present there is social racing at pooraka organised by a great guy by the name of Gav, these social events also have go kart racing included in with it, the next one is saturday evening of the 22nd september and then every fortnihgt there after, call by the track on research rd pooraka to get the details.
A good mix of riders in all classes all having a bit of fun no real serious stuff.
The more serious stuff should be announced in the coming weeks, however these may mean you have to become a member of the apba to race, but all this information will be posted on the mini moto site and possibly on this site also, along with rules etc.
Pooraka have no real set rules apart from the obvious. Worth a look if ya after some competition. Hope this helps as it is a bit closer to ya.

most run like 6-72 for stock gags so its qite a short and windy track so some good aceleration gearing is needed

if you are refering to a big weekend race at the pitts Pt eliot then this should help.
Direction anticlockwise
Gearing 7/72.....7/68 or 8/78 is our preference as it has better torque spread.
We run a Z1 with 5 port BZM
In sure the AC guys can chime in and offer their expertese as well

regards and hope to see you there

you crow eaters MUST wear SKIRTS to run over 10:1 gearing on a track with a straight that long and no real tight corners. dont you believe in corner speed over there. or your all too fat to run as low as 8.5:1 as i do on a track that looks to be tighter than pt elliot. me thinks i have to come now for a west australian riding lesson.

i think il be bringing a 6,7 and 8 plus 2 length chains to suit 64 and 68 but i reckon il be running 8:68 coz she wont hit 90km/h
p.s. : rd racing 6 port air cooled completely BOMBED!
