Hi ringo, my name is Ryan, i won the SA winter season on air cooled, i race a lot at Port Elliot and for a good chance for you to do well it is of my opinion that 7/68 for air cooled is the best, good speed down the straight and enough torque out the turns, with the gearing you want well do well at the end of the straight everyone else will leave you in the dust at the beginning and then you will only have to catch up and then try pass, push hard with this gearing and you will do well. It will be good racing, see you down here soon.

at that track you can keep the throttle on for basically all the corners except 2 which is what i do anyway dono bout the other guys but i run 7-74 on my aircooled (well walshy's)

just went fishing for a few bites fellas looks like i got a few lol. i certainly hope i can get across to meet u all. from what ryan has said i think 8-68 will work well for me because i only weigh 64kg. if i do get dusted off the line i will be able to pick u all off 1 at a time at the end of the straights. but holding it flat through every corner except 2 with 7-74 is not my idea of fun. its a pity i dont have a water cooled for u rover!lol.

I would be still re-think that gearing if I was you. and run what ryan said to run the straights are not long enough for that sort of gearing.

is there any gradient to the track ie rises and dips or is it flat.

Well if all goes well and the Pitts and dazza can get this event organised we all better get of our butts and start practicing!!! Looks like 007 will have to come out to play a bit earlier than expected!!
Can you let us know the missing details as soon as they come to hand
Is there going to be a sidecar race?
