Fun had by all at the Pt Elliot Track

Hi to everyone
I've just got back from another fantastic night at the Pt Elliot track. The weather held off with some slight drizzle but as usual this track was still a joy to be on even with a bit of water on the track.Young Ben was flying around the track tonight hitting speeds of about 90 to 100kph ,all I can say to this is what other track in SA can you do these sorts of speeds on. Even Brandon on the A/C blata was hitting 90kph + ,it was a awesome sight seeing the bikes running on a track that allows the bikes to be run at their full potential.
The boys from the RNR team sidecar had a good time when their sidecar played ball and gave us all a brilliant display on how to exit the track on a sidecar. The end result being the swinger ending up over the other side of the fence.I'll leave that one to them to explain, but must say I'm still laughing about that one.
Shannon also was out on her sidecar and thoroughly enjoyed getting out on the track. She too gave a brilliant display on how to corner in the wet end result being a 180 left then a 180 right followed by a big grin knowing that she had made a miraculous recovery.
Another good point about the Pt Elliot track is that it has great drainage and the track dries off fairly quickly as the bikes go around .Simon was out on his 911 dreambike and it looks like he has got it running well.I'm sure that he will be one of the up and coming riders to watch at future race meets.
While I was at the Pt Elliot track I got a bit of a lesson from Dave about the Blata WRS,mainly about why it has been called a WRS. According to Dave WRS stands for "WET RAG SYNDROME ". I said "WET RAG SYNDROME" and he replied "Yes WET RAG SYNDROME .....Boo Hoooo BOOO hoo and cried in to his hanky . Now the problem I have here Dave is ,are you crying because one just over took your BZM or is it the fact that Junior is driving you nuts with the talk of owing one.
All in all it was another top night at the Pt Elliot track and Gerald Jax and all the staff there as always provided a fun and safe place for all of us to ride on.
To all of the Pocket bike fraternity here in SA that are on this forum,I urge you all to get down to the Pt Elliot track as this is truly an awesome track and right now Gerald and Jax could really do with all of our support.

Thanks Again Gerald and Jax will see you next Saturday

Certainly was an interesting afternoon, be fantastic to see all APBA riders attending track days. The Pit's is certainly a fun track that offers some interesting set-up and riding against the tighter track atPooraka.
We also had some other issues, as I mentioned in the sidecar post:

Quote:
- Repeated Chain coming off: Engine mount bolts loose
- Launching 'monkey' over fence: Monkey should listen to rider
- Get bike all sorted, monkey takes it for a spin, no problems: Bike comes back minus rear axle nuts. BAD MONKEY (Monkey successfully argued that rider touched the nuts last)

Decided at 5pm, in the drizzle watching Ben slip and slide away that it was bourbon 'o' clock (regroup later with ny-locks and thread lock)
- From sidecar post

We'll be back out to play once I've done the sidecar mods and rebuilt my monkey's self esteem. Monkeys are so fragile, one flip over a fence............

I will definitely post some pics on the next post, but until then here are some from the last trip to the Pt Elliot Track. If you look further through this site I've given there's even a mud map of the track.

Yeah It's a brilliant track, most of the corners are perfect too with the correct camber as well.Hence why we get good speeds on this track. The "Fruit Bowl" is just one of the features of this track .Hows this for service too, there's also 3 track marshals there overseeing the track .So should your bike crash or break down they come running to assist you.
