Hi all
After spending about 4 or so hours in hospital I was told I have a broken collar bone. The brake is clean and should heal without any complications in 4 to 6 weeks.
I would like to take the time to say thanks to few people, to Marty and Gav for looking after me. To bruce and the team for their warm wishes and keeping my spirits up. To Frizzy for getting all my gear and taking it home really appreciate it mate. To Dave, Ben and Ryan for his kind words and making sure I was ok, will chat to ya later guys. And the rest of the guys who come in to see how I was, thanks.
To Simon no hard feelings mate, it was a racing incident, these things happen and it is appart of racing.
I would also like to let people know that I had plans of finishing racing at the end of the winter season, so effictive now I will no longer take part in competative racing. However I will continue my involvement with the APBA as a comittee member and also help out where I can in the future.
Pete.
Im glad to hear you are ok Pete. But no racing????? anyway rest up and make sure the missus looks after you well. catch up as soon as you are up to it
regards
Dave

Dave
I made a promis to my missus at the begining of the year that we would start to look at having a family and that I would stop racing, not to say i will stop riding altogether but racing is out. I reminded my missus of that yesterday and that long wait in hospital on my own really got me thinking. I have some ideas about how I am going to stay involved in the racing side but that's a little way off yet.
No wories Pete.
ahhh so now we all know what you will be doing on sunday mornings!! Dont forget its satdy for girls, sunday for boys and the rest of the week is practice.
It wont be slotcars you will get into! It will be the geriatric sidecars wont it!!
lol chat soon

Hey Pete, once again sorry to hear about your collar bone breakage.
No worries about taking your gear home mate, ive already stripped both your bikes and taken what I needed that looked good. Love that Zocchi pipe, thanks dude.
Just kidding mate.
All is locked up securely, will be delivered Wednesday evening as arranged.
Not happy that your racing career is over but the end of the day you have to do what is best for you and your wife.
The kids may be comming along quicker than you expected now, cause you can get heaps of sympathy loving now your injured lol. Hey you mentioned that you will stay involved some how though, does this mean you may wish to be a team owner and perhaps sponsor a rider. Ill offer my services, ill even race in your colours, the red white and blue, dont even have to change my bike colours lol.Hope your up and about soon mate, take care.
Cheers
Frizzy
Thanks for that Frizzy. I am up and about when the pain relief is not working so well, but when they hit I am more or less asleep on the couch. And Yes you hit the nail on the head, not sure just thinking about it but there are a couple of other things I am thyinking about too.
