Pocket Sidecars

Please don't flame if I've missed this thread somewhere else here, but can anyone help me out with some pocket sidecar advice: weights, bikes, what to buy, and the racing scene in Adelaide....
Looking at getting involved as the pocket chairs look pretty cool.

Talk to rover on here about the side cars, he is always willing to help. He even built a aircooled sidecar that beat watercooled sidecars.

Hi Rnr
Have you come to the right place
Here in Adelaide there is a bit of a sidecar following.I myself have 2 sidecars, both air cooled one of them is very fast for a a/c sidecar.
Another person you should talk to is Threewheels, he has both A/C & W/C sidecars. I even think he has one he wants to get rid of.
Do you have a chair? If so do you ride it with a swinger we do.

I have a brand new air cooled sidecar outfit that is for sale. It has a rebuilt air cooled engine in it. The rest of the bike is new. Run only a few laps at the pitts last staurday night for testing
Available for inspection at my workshop in Salisbury or view at the pooraka race meet next sunday

regards
Dave

Hi Rover,
Nope, don't own anything 'yet'. But my brother and I are pretty interested in getting involved.
So as newbies (but both of us ride bikes regularly) what do you suggest we look at, and what price is reasonable?
Are there any Adelaide chair racers who would be willing to let us throw our legs over and see if we fit on one of these cool litttle beasts?

Hey Rnr the one that Threewheels has is very reasonable in price and in top A1 condition.I`m sure that he would love to hook you up with a test run.

Cool, we'll be meeting up with 'threewheels' this Sunday at Pooraka to see if we fit on one. Just some questions between now and then:
How many are racing in SA?
What are the rider/monkey weights?
What other things should I know about pocket sidecars?
