Arrow Endurance Race

G'day Everyone,

Would it be worth looking into a Endurance race..?
As we now have the access to a much larger track then Pooraka, there wouldnt be the problem of bikes over heating (Well Less of a Chance?).

Maybe something like 50 laps with a change over, With another team rider changing with their own bike (as im guessing 50 laps with the one bike would be a workout?)
What Did you think Gerald?

Anyway its just a thought..

Please Add Everyone

at the moment we cant for insurence reasons but when we get the insurance all sorted out we could think about it but untill the its a no no

a 50 lap race would be interesting though.

Cheers Ben and Dave

Hi Dreamah

On top of Dave's correct concerns regarding insurance, for enduro races a protocol needs to be developed regarding safe refuelling. ie a manditory minimum time taken for a fuel stop to remove the need for haste and the hazard of spilt fuel on white hot pipes.

We want to keep things fun, but we have to keep things safe.

Hi to all
Endurance races have been run before at other minimoto clubs, these can be organized in a few different ways .I know that the QLD minimoto club have information on how they ran theirs on one of the forums.
But as Gerry rightfully states ,these events must be run with careful organization allowing for the safe running of the event for all participants.
Dreamah we still have a little way before having events like this [largely due to insurance] but dont give up on this idea. When we do get up and running fully, we should allow for a few of these type of events in our racing calendar ,of course this has also be put the track owner and committee.
P.s theewheels knows a bit about endurance races too.

i would love that idea but with the 2 riders there would have 2 be some sort of handicap system if we did it cause u could have 2 poeple on cags and they could be racing a team of euro w/c bikes u gotta think of all this sorta stuff aswell as insurance and safe fuel stops
other than all that its a great idea
