The Pitts 17/6/07

what a fantastic night!
Firstly thanks to Gerald, jax and the crew for another great night and perfect weather. We could have walked around in t shirts and shorts! When we got back to adelaide it was freezing cold!!

The boys are worried after seeing Morgan on the Z1! I bet Brian is a proud father . Morgan rode the bike like a pro and used all the power the bike had. A bit more work on the back straight and the boys better watch out! She will be hard to pass. It was a pleasure to watch you ride Morgan. and make sure your Dad checks the fuel level!! DOH!!!

ben and I finally got our Z1 cooking and Ben pushed Kia for quite a few laps and even got cheeky enuf to tap Kias rear tyre as if to say "Im here"!! After Alex rebuilt the Blanshee with a new piston ring he was out there ringing its kneck, That engine pulls some serious RPM!

Jack and Marty! Please dont give Ben a ride on the RR again! I cant afford to get him one! Seeing Jack, Ben, Alex and Kia going hard showed the boys down the Pitts how fast these beast can go! Some very close riding ( cant say racing) and the reliability of these elete bikes is great. apart from getting a couple of clutches ro run better they were on the track most of the night.
jack it was great to see you riding. I will have to let you go for a run on the new sidecar when its ready.
hey Dreamah!!!!! get your but into gear mate one more would be fantastic to watch.

Now the big boys!!!!!

RONIN and ROVER on the air cooled eletes!! They may not accelerate like a GRC but they are fast and Andys chinese AC was running just as hard and fast as Ians Blata!!! I see that the black sidecar did not distract RONIN this time! RONIN obviously loves his BLATA, when he was packing up the Blata was put on the front seat on top of what looked like a quilt and the seatbelted in!! Now thats a man in love with his bike!

Sidecars, it was a perfect night for drifting sidecars. Rovers wife was constantly racing around trying to distract RONIN so that Andy could beat him. lol It was good to see other people having a go as well. ( Josh im sure we can find you a sidecar)! Stars and stripes proved itself to be very fast on this track and its new owners will be riding with us in the next few months, Plus another sidecar comming out! i was just about to come in and give Brandon a go and the clutch housing pulled the bolts out and put it out for the night.

Now I am not very good with remembering names but to see quite a few new people riding was fantastic! Brandon was flying on his AC rocket, Sorr that I could not get you on the sidecar tonight and thanks for the help repairing my tyre. We had new riders on R1 junior, water cooled and air cooled, all having a great time on the track.

Walshy were are you!! I went for some entertaing crashes and you wer not there!!!!

well thats enuf dribble for now. thanks to all to made the trip. Pooraka is next sunday so i hope to see you there.

regards
Dave

Yes it was another great night, the water cooled Elites where great to watch and close riding

Me Andy and Josh had a great time on the Aircooled Elites, was very close riding to and am now confident of wins but would really like to see some of the Dreambike aircooleds out there BRIAN..as these may now be the only bikes I will have to worry about. Feel sorry for Josh though now, after trying to pass me and Andys bikes he said his racing career is over now LOL. Looks like your OZminimoto supplied Blata rep Aircooled is working great to Andy. Well at the moment the two Ozminimoto bikes are looking like they are dominating the Elite Aircooleds, and we both weigh about 30 kg more than the others..so the challenge is there now Brian get ya bikes out there will be fun.

Also Threewheels I carried the Torch for Walshy, at the end of the night I had a crash..came together with someone and I think it was a crash up to Walshys standards...but it happened very quick..was sliding head first, face down before I new it LOL...but when I looked over the R was upside down still running (love the reliability of Blatas LOL) and Iam not sure but I get the impression it rolled over the top of me ...bit sore today, saw thumbs, leg, wrist, and even with the Alpine star race suit got some cuts on arms and leg and stomach. But I did jump straight back on and Kept going for quite a few more laps, and nothing wrong with the bike (apart from some fairing damage)
So looks like its tougher than me LOL.

Oh yeah I couldnt afford to let the side car distract me this time Threewheeks, as Rover was right behind me we had to just keep going past Shannon...I just closed my eyes when I did LOL

If I could just ask here Threewheels..do you think at the state titles we will be having weight classes as well , because I am heavy and even my race suit weighs 5kg, and for such a big event would like to see a more even playing field. I understand you may not know the answer yet, but doesn't hurt to ask.

yes it was a good night well when i was there i crashed and hurt my ankle quite bad still real sore today i hit that goddamn pothole brandon told me not to hit it but my back wheel couldnt resist and i cliped it and slid and my foot was smashed undeer the peg. my bike was running real well my hat goes off to rd for the top shelf parts. i think if i had 7/62 gearing my bike would have performed way better as i was running 6/72 :o . hope to get out there next time and make my runs much smother lol

Thanks to Gerry & Jax once again for another great evening from " Team Rover" [to many riders to list].I think I saw a tear in Josh`s eyes on the way home last night when he realised that his racing dominance may be coming to an end .
Had a brilliant ride with Ronin too, with the motor /hand grenade running well, proving that it could keep up with the Blata.
Shannon had a Ball on the sidecar but is a bit stiff today, she also was a bit surprised to see how fast Aiden was going when he left her in his dust.I don`t think she knew how fast the little one`s actually go on this track.
All in all it was a great night for "Team Rover" and we all look forward to our next ride at the Pits

Hi Threewheels
I have no problem racing against young people Iam 40...Josh is only 17 I found out last nite (I thought he was mid 20s) ,just he weighs 60kg..Iam 90 kg,plus 5kg race suit. Although I stayed in front of him for all the laps, it is hard work and I was just hoping if numbers are there to have just weight class (as Stated in the rules), not bothered about age class. So if parents could please start feeding there kids more junk food it would be much appreciated LOL

Cool hope Ryan comes up into aircooled Elite.I would go to Jenny Graig but she turns me on and I think I mite not be able to control my urges LOL.And I think the racing between us will be very exciting if we can both start of on the start line at the same time. Hope you didnt rub it into Josh to much on the way home, that you beat him..I was smiling watching you lead him for all them laps LOL.
