Because only a few people have actually become members as of yet we are struggling. There is heaps of support from people wanting to race but most of them cant be bothered to sign up membership for the club. THIS is aour first issue.

The second is that because we are to use a go kart track, they have go kart prioorities and we come a very distant second to them. We WILL however be racing but as the management of the ACT Pocket Bike CLub have to fork out all the cash to get this started out of their own pockets....things arent going as quickly as they could.

I urge all Canberran's......if you are going to be racing at our events, you HAVE to be a member and this would mean that being a member now will make all this happen quicker for the greater pocket bike community.

We are still getting solid dates so stay tuned and thankyou for your patience.

Cheers

no offence intended here mate, but it is a bit of a turn off for people to join up to a club, with no clubhouse so to speak. The work you are doing is great for the community, and everyone appreciates it. Member numbers will go through the roof once everything is set in concrete. Today i went to ride mine at the Labor club in stirling and there was another guy buzzing around. Said he bought his from ebay on wednesday and was keen to sign up, so that just shows u that people HAVE heard about what u are doing AND are keen to support you, but solid race/ride dates are a must!

thanks mate.

Well yes I agree, that is the issue, but its a catch 22 mate, we need money to race and run a club which comes from miemberships however people dont want to pay until we are racing.

This is the issue all clubs have come accross.

We at least need people to tell us they're interested so that we have an indication of numbers. Its all good and well for a bunch of blokes talking in a carpark somewhere about the club, but we dont know the full extent of our exposure until people touch base with us and tell su they're interested and thats what i've been trying to do all year.

Will keep you posted.

Cheers
