Yeah just cut down the neck that comes out of the carb with a hacksaw. The thread from the adjustable neck goes all the way back to the bend so just cut some of it off so you can still thread in the adjusting screw bit. Ive yet to find a cable that actually fits and the one you have just ordered will probably have the same problem. The other alternative is to cut back the outer bit of the cable by cutting the plastic off and then unraveling th metal spring stuff and then trimming it off. Ive done this successfully but others say it is not advised and to be honest it was a big pain in the ***.
