Symptoms: Neighbors complain, people living close to the track complain!
Cause: No packing in the silencer or muffler
Resolution: Go to your local motorcycle shop and buy some packing material and pack as much as you can into the muffler.
Cost: $10.
Do this and make everyone's life easier....
2nd Resolution: #3 coarse steel wool at your local hardware shop. Approximately 3-4 pieces stuffed into muffler housing.
Cost: about $5.00.

3rd Resolution: Spraycan mod for exhaust pipe
1) Get an empty spraycan - make sure it is empty by taping down the nozzle and leaving it outside until it stops hissing.
2) Pry the top part off the can, remove the nozzle, and discard.
3) Cut the bottom off the can - I used one of those automatic can-openers that cut the entire bottom off the can, not just inside the bottom ring.
4) Take off your old muffler by pulling out the cotter pin (get a replacement), removing the tension spring and the end cap, and sliding the stock muffler off the end of the pipe. The only thing that should be left on the bare pipe is the stock front muffler cap, which is welded to the pipe.
5) Trim the top of the can to fit the front muffler ring snugly using some tin snips.
6) Drill out the bottom of the can, making a hole large enough to accept the stock end cap.
7) Put the spraycan on the pipe, and fill it with #3 coarse steel wool, available at your local hardware shop.
8) Attach the bottom of the can to the pipe using the stock end cap, the tension spring, and the cotter pin.
Cost: about the same as above, assuming you have the empty can already, plus maybe a buck for the cotter pin.
