you can buy a copper based gasket sealer in a spray can its specially for head gaskets & exhaust manifolds etc etc
this gear is the go for everything as you can spray a coat over the case deck & the bottom of the cylinder & let it dry overnight then b4 assembly spray both sides of the gasket let it touch dry & it will stick like poo to a blanket ill see if i still have the can & get the name of it for ya
last option is to cut your own base gaskets from thin rubberized cork used for carb gaskets on older cars
