Alot of people under estimate the power of a 40cc Polini 3 port cylinder.By porting the barrel and changing crank and carby,you can get these engines up over the 13HP output,believe me i have done it.The beauty of a 40cc Italian engine wether its a 3 port or a 5 port you can get these engines to really peak out alot more than a 50 cc in rev ranges.Surprisingly the 40cc are alot more manageable than a 50cc.Each to there own but if you have had the experience to play with all three engines you will understand what i mean.40cc is the biggest class in Europe for racing and has been for over 30years.In the last couple of years the 50cc open class has begun! |
