RONIN is on a distinguished road
Hi Guys,
Well its the day after the 2nd round SA titles and I would just like to give some feed back and thanks to people for coming and making it a great event.

First as an official at the event I want to thank all riders pit crews, and other officials for their behavior. With all the pressures on everyone involved during this event, not once did I have reason to complain, you all treated me great and although I was a bit disappointed I didn't have time to catch up with more of you during the event, the ones I did get time with at the event or at the presentations it was great to meet you and I think any of you I could hang out with for a drink.

Now for the warm and fuzzy part but I believe in giving credit where credit is due.

I would like to give The guys from the Port Elliot pits a very sincere and special thanks for holding and helping run this event. With a very special thanks to Jax, who not only for many weeks leading up to this event has contributed so much of her time making all the booklets and race format layouts, but over the 2 days was stuck in the office preparing the race results and grid positions. I must say the only worry I had for the weekend was going to be getting the final heats grid positions to me on time, but Jax exceeded my expectations and got them to me well in advance of the next heats for my benefit and the riders benefit. So although many helped on the days and did great work, I truly believe Jax working behind the scenes (that many may not be aware of), was of the greatest benefit to keeping this event running smoothly THANKS JAX. (P.s. me and rover didn't mind all the phone calls and paper work leading up to this )

Like to thank SAMRA, especially Andrew (rover) that although as a rider and also looking after his sons bike as well helped out so much as well.

Was great to catch up with Dazza (Oz Minimoto) he helped when asked.

Also I only know him buy the name Con (Pocket Racing Bikes rider), great bloke, and he has plenty of time for anyone, thanks for your opinions/advice on different bikes, and just general chat.

Also three APBA members I haven't seen for a while Eion (gnicarevisolpx), Ben (Benny#27) and Tommo (not sure if he has a user name on here) Was great to catch up again and enjoyed the chats. 2 things that impressed me most was something Eion said to me on the first day (probably didn't even realize he said it) I have a lot of time for this guy, and think it good he is in the sport.
And Ben when he was racing in the Open elite Water cooled. It was a great field and fantastic for the spectators, was very fast and close racing. Where I was standing I could get a perfect view of half the track, I was watching (heat 1 I believe on the second day) when Ben came off on the banked part of the track (we call the fruit bowl) he was doing well with other bikes not far behind, as you can appreciate these bike move fast so I was more than a bit concerned that one of our SA riders were down and would be past by many bikes. But even still thinking about it now I don't know how he did it but he got back to his bike and going again in a blink of an eye and not one bike past him even though they were just coming off the corner near him. WELL DONE BEN.
And Tommo just looks like he is a fun bloke to hang around, seems to have a happy attitude.

Last the was a bloke I think he was a pit crew for Queensland, not sure of his name, but if hes reading this, your the one that closed the opened door in the toilets and tried to walk through the wall while we were talking (must do things different in Queensland LOL, maybe lucky I cant remember his name for here ) But in the time I got to talk with him I can see this sport brings many great people in that I would be happy to associate with.

Well if you have read this far, the are many more story's to tell but will leave it here for now. What Iam really trying to get across to everyone is the fun I had just been there on the days to meet everyone and watch the event. When I was first asked would I help out I really only agreed as a favor to Jax and Gerald and for SAMRA especially Andrew (rover the president of SAMRA) as I have sold all my bikes (GRC RR, WRS,R etc) and was getting out of the sport, and never thought I would be back. After the weekend though and meeting everyone I would say now Iam happy to of helped and would again for all riders as you were all great people.
Well as I was writing this I have just got of the phone from Rover (nearly 2 hour call, geeze and I thought Jax's calls were long LOL) and would like to warn all the dealers out there, Iam ready to start building and buying bikes/engines again, So look out Iam going to be a pain in the ass again LOL.
After watching from the side on the weekend I was really desperate to get out there for a ride...and will be building another water cooled elite bike (not so much to win but just so I can say I have ridden in this class with the top riders, and have a lot of fun...Just love the power of these bikes)

Anyway once again thanks for a great weekend and will see you all in Victoria for next round (hopefully riding this time instead, even if just on a cag)

P.S. As I was leaving the presentations, I heard someone say (I believe he was a QLD guy) that he would definitely come back again. Well personally I would be happy to see any of you back here again. Cheers and cyas in Victory.
