looks like i don't need to do a few things that i thought i might...so, here is a little picture of how far I've come so far.
i may have to make a slight cut into one of the crank cases, to allow the attachment of the ignition coil for the section of engine on the right in the picture.
next up, is to make some plates, to hold the two sets of cases together (pretty simple) and after that, re-assembly, and the engine should be ready for a test start
