Side by side twin CAG....help

Hello peoples,
i am currently in the process of building a twin engine CAG in my free time, and i would like some help...i have two options as i see it...
1. after trimming off any unnecessary metal, i put the second engine on the flywheel side of the first, and to counterbalance the weight of the engines, i run two custom made exhaust pipes over and out the left side of the bike (preferred option)

2. once again trim off any unnecessary metal, except, mount both engines as central as possible, and make so crazy "thingy" to get the chain back inline at the rear of the bike.

soo...what do you guys and gals think?
