wooo finally took it for its first proper test.
first the problems -
* the rear tire valve is rooted and the cap is the only thing that keeps the pressure in.
* 8 / 68 is rediculous. on my secret testing area 1 which is about 300-400m long it just begins to come on pipe. but jesus what a massive speed rush
i think 7/68 will do it and if not then 6/68. trying not to change rear sprockets because i have to modify them..
the good -
* starts everytime even with a rep carby and didnt skip a beat.
* the two shoe clutch is engaging at a good rpm and no slippage yet.
* still running on 25:1 and running it in but accelleration with that gearing is quite impressive.
*nothing broke or came off so im well pleased!
interesting things -
* these no name ZHONG KWA treaded tyres or whatever they are, are actually not too bad
i was getting some pretty massive lean out of them before they started skipping. but the PMTs go on today!
* dreambike is officially the best handling bike! the seating position is so narrow, easy to hang off it and throw it around. i love it to death
had an interesting moment where the footpeg decided to break off near top speed and it tried to give me a lovely tank slapper. the way the footpegs are done atm is dodgy so ill put some pics up soon on my fix for that!
anyway get the PMTs on there, change the gearing then loctite it all up and i think we are ready for race day
