Quiet Please! (Pipe silencers)

Hi guys, came across these while looking around for parts for my pb.

I'm considering getting one for my water cooled bike (since i don't really race at the moment and to keep the neighbours happy), but was wondering how much decrease in noise they make to the exhaust.. so has anyone had experience with pipe silencers for their pocket pipes?
