ok i have made a reed by cutting the old stainless tin reed to the shape of the triple plate bending to shape & installing it behind another standard tin set
i cant remember what engine i installed it in but ill pull it out tomorrow and do some testing with 3 different reed setups
one the triple made from stock tin reeds
number 2 will be a fibreglass reed
and number 3 is a
genuine euro brand name single carbon fibre reed with a modified reed block to fit it to
my first set of triples were the first of the cheap nasty chinese triples that were on ebay all of last year for $20-$29
they are fine for a slightly modified cag they worked well on a stock 49cc bike with 14/14 carb & stock pipe they lasted 1 year
But when i upgraded my cag with
15:1 boost ported head kit squish set to .7 full circle crank, jet pro rep pipe & A genuine WT-603A walbro it just revved its titts off & broke off the thiner piece on the triple plate in 2 short rides
so i will let you all know my results when im done sorting things out ill have to do all my testing on the
same bike & stopwatch only changing the reeds & blocks and see if i can get any info out of it to help with 3 different reeds setups on the same bike so onlu reeds & reed & reed blocks will be changed for my mild to worked cag bike
ill have to try catch up with
