| normally only one coat of primmer is needed as this is the base coat needed for adhesion of the top coats, apply the primmer / undercoat so you have a decent amount but not too much on the surface then you will lightly sand with the mentioned wet/dry paper for a smooth finish ready for the top coats yes 2 coats. remember the color you choose as it is best to choose a color that is easy to touch up if or when you get it scratched. a high gloss finish will show up more inperfections than a lower sheen paint such as satin. say high gloss black you must have a well preped item to paint compared to a satin finish. |
