| jackson, somehow i think that is incorrect, your right, electric engines have magnets, BUT would an engineer design an engine with a electric start that would inhibit the performance of an engine!?!?! If that is the case i dont wana know wat else might be f**ked bout that sorta bike. As you have said it that the magnets are around a shaft, magnets wouldnt affect the spining of the shaft. I think if u know wat ur doin u should take it apart and figure out how it really works, and if how u described it is how i would look at buying a different bike if you are after performance. A bearing in the electric start may be an acting force on the shaft but that friction would be minimal (unless it was some sort of bushing or something... never know wat they might put on the bikes) If thats the case you should be able to replace it with a good quality ball bearing and should reduce friction alot. |
