| by rights a slightly lighter flywheel should not vibrate as much as a heavier flywheel, by removing every 2 nd fin i feel this will not effect the balance much or any atall. as for running hotter, i have found no difference. if you are not sure of balance you can buy a balancer from a good hobby shop about $50. these are used in the hobby for balancing things like, propellors, rotors ect. by the way every cag flywheel i have checked has been well out of balance.
