new guy in melbourne

hi guys. i am new to the pocket bike scene and am keen to try out the racing. is the track at s/m the only track to race at.
i bought my bike from ebay, now i realize its probably not as good as the ones you all race, but , at the race meets do they have different divisions where you might be competitive. i am not to sure what the bike is, hopefully someone can get back to me. It is air cooled,is black with white checks down the bottom and has the number 5 on it. looking forward to a response....

Hi ak1, welcome. Not sure anyone will be able to help you with identifying your bike with that description. Theres lots of different bikes out there. Can you post a pic or a link to somewhere that sells them?

Matt.

You're in luck! Lots of people race L7s and theres heaps of go-fast bits for them. Have a look at some of the advertisers on this forum for all the parts you could want. How fast you want to go? 8)

First thing I'd do is have a good read through the forum. Theres lots of good info here about how to run your engine in and set things up so that it all works smoothly.

I'd have to agree with BoneGraft. Read lots of forum garb. and ask lots of question. No question is too dumb.
As you live in Melbourne try contacting Carter Race Engines.

You will find a few topics on L7's on the forum with good info about them.

Any questions afterwards.......Just ask :!:

Enjoy your racing 8)
