a bit about me - older members should do likewise

Great idea for a forum - maybe now we will be able to put a genuine name to some of the voices in these forums.

Okay, briefly - I'm Steph (bet you'd already worked this out anyway) 8) - high school student , Gold Coast, race whenever possible (parklands of course - only place to race around here). Race in Ladies class and Juniors at present.

As with most people in Oz, we are still learning the ins and outs of these finicky little machines but love the challenge of trying to gain just a bit more out of the bike each week.

Ladies - we need more of us - come forward so we can band together and put these guys where they belong (in the pitts, working on our bikes) - just joking boys! :wink:

Is it possible for any of the 'older' members of this site that race at Parklands to also post a little about themselves it would be nice to know who I'm conversing with.

Well I'm Ryan, lvie on the gold coast also...still in High School (yr11). Race at parklands most weeks...depends on if my step-dad is busy whether or not I can get there...I'm in Snr Water Cooled (where all the fast bikes are) :lol: - except mine (only manage 3rd/4th/5th most weeks..sharky/kurt etc are just to fast..

I'm John. No86 I was also in grade 11...................................About 25 years ago. I'm usually with Bung at the race meetings. In the same group I should say.

I've only raced twice so far but have lead breifly till I crashed. I think for every two laps I've completed, I've slid down the track on my face at least once. I'm starting to get the hang of it though.

My Son Stuart No18 races in Juniors and is doing well. He can't get enough
of it.

jeebers there's some youngins here :roll: I was in grade 11 nine years ago :shock: (f$#k me I feel old now)

as said, I'm just getting into pocket bike as was wanting to do track days on my gsxr600 but the idea of binning it at 200+ and destroying myself and my bike in the process didn't appeal to me all that much :roll:

so I bought an elcheapo aircooled off ebay (went pretty good for the price) but after taking it to archerfield for the demo day decided it was to slow and have made a few mods :wink:

will be racing at archerfield most weekends once it gets up and running and hope to venture down the coast for some racing as well (nothing against the coast but I live 5 mins drive from archerfield :twisted: )


look forward to seeing some of you guys out there!!! drew (oh - my bike will be number 40 if no one else races under that yet *crosses fingers*)

hi my name is phil i race number 46 at parklands in juniors
i'm 11 years old i race a L7 that Steph first started on.
i'm usually racing every week.
my dad Alan takes me down he is a top guy.
i'm trying to kick my sisters butt :twisted: we all go
down for fun and to try our best all the time.
i have lots of friends who race that i met at parklands
i want to race at a few more tracks
i hope everyone has fun.
