Mini GP

Does anyone from the bucket racing scene know if the Mini GP bikes would be able to race against the other bucket classes on the big circuits?
The bikes I'm talking about are the PRI MiniGP160R and Dirtmax GP160R

Can't see why not, I have in the past entered a 90cc 2t scooter and was thinking about racing the KTM 85sx in bucket class. The only thing that may hold it back is it doesn't fit into a "period" i.e. too new!!! But as most of the historic clubs around oz are struggling, I'm sure they'd let you in!!

I'll answer it for him. To run Superlite You need a homologated chassis and engine to do it. Superlights must have twin shock rears and not be a competion or race bike chassis The minigp bikes are a single rear shock, this will throw them into Motolite. Unless you put 17" wheels on it, it won't get close to the front runners who can go near 200kph. It can be done but it'll be expensive.

Go two stroke. Cheaper. Easier.

So I guess these bikes fall under the motolights class.

Yeah, I would get my butt handed to me by everyone else, but it would still be alot fun to be able to ride around the big tracks and the kart tracks on the same bike. But I'm sure in the future bike bikes would become more appealing and I'd upgrade to another class.
I just don't want to go jumping on a big bike on a big track without alot of experience... plus I'm not allowed to have too many bikes.
