What state are you in ??? Check the racing section for club/s in your area...
It's entirely up to you as to how much you want to spend, what class/es you want to run etc etc...
And welcome ..

it all depends on how much money u r willing to spend on a bike and wat u want to do it once u have it.
if u dont have heaps of cash u can go a cheap cag or blata rep, or if u wanna spend a bit more then go watercooled.
i spent nearly $500 on my cag and its nowhere near as quick as my stock blata rep. although the top speeds r roughly the same the pick up difference is like apples and oranges.

if you wanna spend $500 forget the cags and the lammas group bikes. go a watercooled rep. i got my sq blata rep for $350 delivered.
just keep an eye out and if your buying 2nd hand make sure it runs and the frame isnt bent and all the welds r in good condition.
