Glens pocket bike powered robot

Howdy, new year and time for some new projects. i need a new robot for the next comp (RoboWars - Australian Fighting Machines) and have a spare pocket bike motor. so im thinking of using it to power the weapon.

so far ive got a rocket key in it, 16mm walbro rep i bought off ebay for $15 which is an impressive piece of kit + light flywheel.

just servo'd up the throttle this morning and made up a throttle return to idle in case the throttle craps itself.

But reason i put this here is because i need to remote start the thing as other ones done with gas motors (mainly chainsaws and weed whackers) are pretty notorious for cutting out.

have devised plans for a brushless motor powered starter that engages in the stock pawl but its going to need some ballistic machining as it needs a device that can rotate the motor 1/4 turn back after its stopped to retract the pawl and keep it falling out and big shocks yet still allow it to rotate freely etc..

but i recall there being a pocket bike with electric start in it that will make it heaps easier to mod to my liking. does anyone know what model bike they are off and if there are compatible with the cag flywheel??

one more thing... if the engine cuts out a lot put a new spark plug lead on it me and my friend did it and now the spark is a little bigger and it idles a lot better.
about $2.50 from repco...champion rh30... just twist out the old one cut the new one to length put some rtv silicone on the end twist in and heat shrink it tight....(it also looks really cool...rh30 is red!!) lol

cheers. nick.
