That just answered the question as to weather I go or not. Open replica should be replica parts only. So on top of the $286 entry fee I would have to spend even more money on my engine to. That's why they have a elite class for. The euro crank would be more than what I paid for my bike. No point going on about it people have been banned for this argument.

The booklet that was released today is not the final version.

The meeting held tonight voted to restrict the crankshaft in class 2 to non - European only.
The full booklet should be released in the next few days.

Now that every rider has to pay $220(just race fees) an extra $120 on top of the usual $100 race fees plus day licence..
If there's 80 riders.. Where does that 'extra' $9,600 in race fees go.. on top of the $8,000 that would have been collected already for those 80 riders.. For an event expecting a large attendance, Why are the race fees so high.. ?!?!
Who pays up to $20,000 to host a pocketbike title.. It just seems weird..!!

My understanding is the extra $120 you've quoted is only if you choose to NOT do the competency test? If you require a day license it's just the initial $60. What I don't understand is if you are regularly riding at club events (which I'm guessing you do). Why don't you get yourself an annual license? It's pretty much what all WA riders do, once they have done a ride day and decide they want to do more. It works out much more cost effective.

As for that 'extra' $9600 in race fee's... go ask MA what they would be paying in insurance.

That helps explain the $220 entry fee. Which IMO, given the track we are riding. Is a reasonable amount.

I think too many people are getting caught up over cost. This should be a fantastic event, which any rider should be excited! It's a great day for minimoto racing in Australia. And everyone should be proud of, and especially thankful to the people who made this happen.

By my last count, WA should be bringing 10-12 people to this, and pretty much all of us are going to be a shoe string budget to make it happen. But we'll find a way. We even have a junior rider who has worked his *** off, to save up enough cash himself to fund his own way over. Because no one wants to pass this up. Who knows when we'll next have a chance to ride on this circuit.

Agreed, Beau. The cost is negligible considering where it is we get to race and like you guys, I'll be on a shoestring budget. But no matter what, ill make it happen. Why would anyone actively want to miss this!

EDIT: Actually, that should have read "Agreed Tim" but it was early and i was still half asleep :-p
