rover has a little shameless behaviour in the past
I like what KTM has come up with...he hit the nail on the head...4 heats made up of 12 laps all worth points...Qualifying to be done for grid positions before heats...Touch down on that one for me KTM

Geez guys... don't forget the bigger picture just yet!!

EG: Liam will have to ride 4 x 12 laps x 6 classes = 288 laps total for the weekend..... plus practice!!
If you run 10 lap races it cuts it down to about 240 laps, heaps less!

We are trying to bring new people into the sport aswel as encourage others to ride more, not less!!!!

I think 4 x 12 laps is a bit too much at the moment, when we're trying to build it!! We need more people in all the classes to do that .. or just maybe run W/C Elite and motard at 10/12 laps if you're going to have '4' races...

2 x 20 min practice (Saturday) as you do!
2 x 10 min practice (Sunday) as you do!
3 x Races (1 on saturday) as you all like doing! & (2 on sunday) everyone gets to head off early arvo!
12 x laps per race
qualify for grid positions, race pos. after that!

run two classes... thats 72 laps plus 2 hours practice!!!! Can't need anymore than that!!

& that way there's 9 races for points, So there definately can't be a tie...

I've got to agrre with Paul and Rover etc on this one . long way to go for only 3 points races . I see what Morty means about too many laps for the kids that ride a lot of classes , maybe we could look at less laps for the juniors ( although that may not go down that well with them as we know how much most of them love riding all day ) Perhaps 12 laps for elite and motard but 10 for all other classes ? . Don't forget all those extra laps will add up and make the days a fair bit longer !

I think it all depends on how many rounds we have!
Hyperthetically: If we only have two rounds, I'd even consider up to 5 races per round of (8 laps)!
thats 144 laps on sunday for 6 classes! thats ok..
2 x races on saturday & 3 x races on sunday, its been run like that before I'm sure in the beginning!
Cause then, that'l still be only 10 races, As you all want 4 races, having only two rounds, there will be only 8 races for the points in the series....
I think two rounds of even 4 races just isn't enough, but it works out between the 4 states over two years.... so maybe if we have 5 races but that'l be full-on,
So I'd prefer 3 rounds of 3 to 4 races if it can be organized somehow...

See what your saying morty but uping the number of races just to cut the number of laps per race is getting away from the point some of us are trying to make. Perhaps the option of juniours having 10 or 8 laps per race is an option ( lets hear from them) or just motard and elite with thelonger race. 12 laps was suggested as a middle ground I and a few others realy want more than 12 in elite. I'm all for 5 races over the 2 days but 5 with a minimum 12 laps
