Std

Just a little bit more to add to the apple cart. I agree Claw with what you are trying to do with GOOD intensions. We have been down the std road for over 2 years with all the problems you are talking about. The bottom line is if people want to cheat to achieve there goals it will happen. The case of timing key is a perfect example (it will hapen). To say the sq Blata rep is a slug means a lot of people must not know what they are doing as Liams both china w/cooled bikes are 40cc motors and i said check the lap times at Wollongong. The bottom line is you cant slow down a class just to suit newbys You never try to beat the person at the front only the one directly in front of you each lap until you get to the front. If you open up china pro to allow euro cranks & such how could you call it pro.wouldnt it be cheap elite? If you have a controled motor (one make) you will have a case of expensive s/hand rollers. If you buy a banshee App $600 + motor App $450 == $1050.00 not cheap not including tyres / clutch / carby ??? At the end of the day motors will have to be checked. SORRY == LOL Bill

just looking in the rulebook

IMPOUNDMENT OF 1ST
TO 4TH
PLACES:

At the conclusion of each round of the Australian Minimoto Title
events, the 1st to 4th placing machines in all classes 1, 4, 5, & 7
will be impounded.
A rider and/or team member must be present at all times, and if
the rider is under 18 years of age a parent or legal guardian must
also be present.
A member of each race team or rider is to remove, the cylinders,
and reed cages along with any other parts that maybe required
for an inspection to confirm that the bike complies with the rules
for their class of bike. This is to be performed by the rider or team
when the Clerk of Coarse indicates, not before.
If a rider refuses to comply, they will lose all points gained over
the event race meeting.
All reassembly work is at owner’s expense.

if the rules are followed to the letter in the book there shouldnt really be a problem?? if you entered the titles you obviously agree for that to happen

whats the go with the stock classes anyway. theres an aweful lot of modifcations permitted in the cag and watercooled ones. shouldnt it be stock everything (cept the spark plug and filters etc). or is that just a misapprehension and its a "slightly modded" class not stock?

oh and Bill we can use euro cranks in nsw chinese class. just so yah know heheee

cheers

LOL . yeh, liams blata's the next best thing since the banshee, but bill.. them some good ports.....

the reason the banshee's go heaps harder more often is the polini rep is the best copied italian motor, I think, for consistency for good ports and heights and dags.... but every now and again you find an awesome barrel and thats what you need... they may even have come from the same factory even, just ones made at a different time to the other one and the machine may have gone out of calibration a bit, hence the difference!!

And yeah... you should really concentrate on one step at a time, beginning with the rider in front of you for a start.... Why are we talking about this anyway, really when... How many experienced riders contested at all the rounds for the Standard Titles ..?? Not Many.. From what I see, Yes the more experienced rider did win! But the more experienced rider who put more into it for all title meets won too!!
I got 1st... I won last year .. 2 1/2 years racing p/bikes
Grant got 2nd .. 2nd last year .. racing p/bikes longer than morty
Claw got 3rd .. only went to 3 rounds... and hasn't had hardly any track time ... got a third trophy

Seriously when I really think about..... Shouldn't that be how it ended up ANYWAY?!?!?!?!?!??!?!!??!:conf used:

& dont get me started about the euro cranks in chinese w/c's at wcr glen ... OMG .. what.. umm. reliability... LOL... sorry..
& how can you call it Chinese, when you can put a $470 EURO Crank in it....Isnt that really ELITE/CHINA?!?!?
