I vote yes.
I spoke to Barry at pro dirt today and even though we want them, we're not getting them. WCR have made it too pricey to be a concievable option. Sorry for the bad news.

There's a lot of threads on the transponder topic, but I chose this one to ask this question, sorry if anyone finds this the wrong place... but.. Why doesn't each person that wants to participate in the titles next year buy transponders (before next years series)? I assume it's the AMB gear? I know it's not cheap, but it's top quality, and I've seen some of the bikes on here, and they're not exactly low budget items...

my vote is that we should be running transponders at archy as they were payed for in our entrys as well as being originally agreed upon for the series .
However , in the absence of transponders (which seems to be the reality for round 4 ) i think Rovers option would be the next best scenario

I race at WCR which is who was doing the timing for the series and they supply us transponders for each race we have so i personally cant see the point in outlaying 600bucks.
Also even if everyone had there own transponders they would be usless at Archy because they have no( and probably wont have in future)magnetic strip on the track.
I wont be going to QLD but i have been watching the thread and i think the only fair way to go about it is Rovers idea, how can they say if your the fastest rider on the fastest bike that its not fair you start first??? That is just confusing. I think they spend too much time at the speedway, and like Tom said Do you think Rossi or any top motorsport figure would be cool with that?? I very much doubt it...I hope for those attending it gets sorted.

Hi Guys,
I haven't said much on the forum about the isuse at hand, but I have been in talks with all parties concerned several times over the last few days.
Information will be avaliable on Monday about the transponders.
All I can say at the moment is, don't worry, as it is being sorted out for the better.

So with an overwhelming YES (remembering not everyone uses this forum) the verdict as to whether this round will be run by the official rules is??
