Hi all,
I have been asked to (and happy to help support the A.P.B.A club) by building the A.P.B.A site, and have found out from a A.P.B.A committee member that it is already working (3 new people at least, coming out to monarto tomorrow that found out through our site)
First I will just say I rarely come on to forums anymore so if you are able/willing to help the best way to contact me (Ian) is here :
APBA Contact Us
A couple of things I would like to ask of the Australian Minimoto community, if you are able to/willing to help is.
A good picture of the following:
BIKES
Cag (preferably unmodified)
Lucky 7 (preferably unmodified)
C1 Blata Rep (preferably unmodified)
A genuine Polline...GP3,GP4 or similar
AND
MOTORS
A pollini W/C motor
A Polini A/C motor
A Cag Motor
A BZM A/C motor
Although I can get pics off the net, I would prefer to place pics provided from the Australian Minimoto community that are personal pictures so as to avoid copyright.By providing pictures/information, you would be helping the bike Tips page here:
APBA Bikes
The reason for this page is to allow new comers to the sport to see whats available and hopefully get a little exited about what this sports about, and also so they can see the sport is professional and not what they may see on the news etc. with cheap cags running around the streets. Also if you have a look around the bike tips pages and find you are able/willing to contribute any articles then please provide them to me with the Authors name. If you are a Minimoto Business that wants to write in some tips for the beginner please provide the Authors name and Business webaddres so as we can provide credit. (please note: make sure any tips you provide are accurate and your own words)
ALSO:
Although Iam familiar with other clubs from around Australia, Iam reluctant to add any info that people don't provide and wish displayed. Now as stated we are getting people finding out about our great sport already through this site, and Iam guessing some have come to our site from the MSA site. So as to direct people that have come to the South Australian site but are from a different state could you please contact me with your club details so we can point them in the right direction. (only to happy to help get members into the sport, which ever state they are in) Contact me here:
ABPA Links/Other Clubs
ALSO:
Any Minimoto Dealers out there that would like to have their Advert on the site, I encourage you to contact me.(Its free) The reasons I ask is:
1. As I have seen new members constantly asking where to buy stuff, we need to put our selfs in their position and realize that we need to provide this information, as they just would not know of all the dealer support out there.
2. And one of my main concerns for showing as many Minimoto dealers as possible, is so that when new people to the sport, see that its supported by many businesses not just a couple, they will see its a well supported sport, not a tiny unsupported sport, with now business back up.
If you would like to contact me to get your business placed, please do so here:
APBA Dealers
(remember its free) and I encourage you to do so, to help new members, find the support/services they need and may not be aware of.
If you want to place your Business, please send your Banner with the width of at least 764 pixels. Bigger is fine as I will adjust it. Any smaller I have found you will lose detail in your banner if I increase the size. Although you can provide any smaller size banner you wish, it just will not look the same as others. Also the are no preferences on this page ...first come first placed.
ALSO:
The Teams page, If you want your team placed on here:
APBA Australian Minimoto Teams
Please contact me. Once again its to show the new comer that this sport is bigger than what they may think from the little coverage that we receive. and maybe/hopefully bring a little excitement/interest from viewing the teams.
Anyway if you can or want to help it is Genuinely appreciated, but if you do send anything to me please be aware it may or may not be used, and also if you are wondering why its not up on the site after you send it, please be patient with me as I will place it as soon as my time allows.
Once again best way to contact me is here (Ian)
APBA Contact Us
Just in closing I would genuinely like to thank the following for there willingness to help and in not denying me any request.
Danny from Pocket Racing Bikes
Darren From OZ Minimoto
Andrew Reis A.P.B.A Vice President
Also I know this is the South Australian site, but if it helps interest people in the sport and they are from another state, and come to our site by mistake/chance then hopefully with you providing your club details, it helps us all. Personally I think we can never have to much promotion of the sport which ever state were in. And hopefully we can all help each other.
